You may not agree with Santorum, or misinterpret what he is saying, but this is a representative sampling of the comments at Atheists United:

That last one was mine.

Not all were violent, but most were disgusting, and some were with me.

But I know them and they're not atheists.

I'm glad my FB friend, while dismissive of Santorum, wasn't vile.

Of course that's 15% more than 49% of the country....

And $3 million to charity. What a greedhead.

I say relatively new, because it was a couple years old and had been replaced by a new belt with the head gaskets.

A week or more ago, I pulled both the old belt (a Gates) and the new (USA, brand illegible) alongside each other and found that the newer belt was longer than the older Gates belt.

I did this because when I tried to apply more tension on it, nothing tightened.

So I put the Gates back on (after cleaning it thoroughly) and it stopped squealing, for a few days.

Then it started again.

With the engine running, I put a wrench on the tensioner and put more tension on the belt.

(Note: I am an idiot. Kids don't try this at home.)

Putting more tension on the belt only caused it to squeal more!

Taking tension off quieted it and as it got quieter I observed that it ran "truer".

So I did what anyone would do.

I removed the tensioner, put it on a steel plate and measured the difference in height from the table of four positions (compass points) on the pulley.

So it was forty thousandths of an inch out of alignment!

I found that hard to believe, but I went out to get a Gates tensioner ($55!) and when I measured it, it had five thousandths.
So I installed it, and the squeal is gone.

Today, my air compressor threw a belt.

Of all things, the motor has twisted over the years to be out of line with the pump.

Nothing a torch and a hammer couldn't fix.
Cheaper than the car.
 

We were among the few white people in the audience.

It started out with some weak opening credits and music that made me worry about my choice for our viewing experience.

I've read that it was predictable.

I kinda thought we were going to win the war.

That they'd experience racism.

That someone would die.

The audience applauded. We joined in.

Yesterday was a pretty good day.

Got up and waited for little brother to come over.
He took me to breakfast, and then we went to our niece's house.

I had packed a collection of pistols and we were going to take our nephew-in-law to the range.

When we got there, we did some preliminary safety review, filled out the range applications and my niece took pictures (which I'm waiting for) of us talking and fondling holding the guns.
Her daughter Holland (whom I just realized could be nicknamed "Dutch") was having fun posing with the 9mm.
I told "Dutch" that she could pose as a model for Kahr's "Thin is In" ads, she's that good looking. And smart. Just got accepted early to U of  M Nursing, along with 8 other schools.

So we went to the range and her dad bullseye center masses the target 7 times at 7 yards right off.

He preferred the 9 and my brother preferred the .357. Each did well.

The range was so busy, there was a half hour limit on lane rental.

We went back to the house and talked for a while. That's when I found that her next door neighbor was a friend of my friend Nate, one of the few guys who survived Pearl and D-Day.
My niece then went over and got Jack.
We remembered each other from Nates 95th birthday a couple weeks ago.

So we all talked some more and a good time was had.

Went home to where my wife was frying up my next months supply of bacon.

Does life get any better than that?
